The Ecuadorian Horned Frog (Ceratophrys testudo) is part of the Pacman frog genus, Ceratophrys. As of 2023 the IUCN has C. testudo classified as Data Deficient due to a lack of information and data to appropriately evaluate the risk of extinction based on its population and distribution.[1]
This species is frequently confused with Ceratophrys cornuta due to their similar appearances.[2]

Endemic to Ecuador, C. testudo can be found in temporary freshwater marshes and subtropical and tropical moist montane forests in the Pastaza River Basin.[2]
Reproduction[edit | edit source]
During the rainy system reproduction erupts in the ephemeral bodies of water.[2]
