Editing Leaf litter

Leaves, twigs, and bark that have fallen to the ground compose "leaf litter." It provides hiding spots for a variety of organisms including insects and amphibians. This helps prevent stress, nesting material, as well as provide egg-laying sites for some species. The decaying material also acts as a habitat for invertebrates such as snails, worms, centipedes, millipedes, and spiders.
