Leopard Geckos are ground-dwelling lizards native to the arid regions of the Middle East and Northern India. They are renowned for their vibrant colors and patterns, which can range from yellow and brown to pink, with spots that resemble those of a leopard. ==== Appearance ====
Adult Leopard Geckos typically reach sizes of 8-10 inches (20-25 cm) from snout to tail end. They have a robust body, a broad, smiling face, and a tail where they store fat. Their skin texture is smooth, and they can shed their entire skin in a single piece. An extensive variety of color and pattern variations ("morphs") are are available due to selective breeding.

====Behavior====
Leopard Geckos are known for their docile and friendly nature, making them excellent pets for beginners. They are primarily nocturnal, spending the day hiding under rocks or in burrows, and becoming active at night when they hunt. Leopard Geckos have a unique behavior of wagging their tails when hunting or when threatened.

====Cohabitation====
Leopard Geckos should not be cohabitated, and are best kept in a single-species, single-individual enclosure. ==== Sexing ====
Males can be distinguished from females by the presence of pre-anal pores and hemipenal "bulges" at the base of the tail. Females may have a slight bulge but lack the distinct V-shaped row of pores that are visible in males.
